Life is never easy, but when we are also carrying old and new burdens this can make it even harder. If you are reading this then the chances are you are looking to talk over things with someone. My aim is to help you talk through these issues and concerns, in the hope to empower you to find your own answers, which will help you to move forward in a life you can choose for yourself.
During my career I have witnessed high degrees of social and performance anxiety, substance and alcohol misuse, and I have seen first hand the pitfalls of working with extreme degrees of pressure, including the highs and lows of achieving success to quickly, only to loose it again. Guilt, disappointment, embarrassment, shame. These are all emotions we can suppress and hide from others to protect ourselves, but when left, negative emotions can manifest into self-destructive ways of thinking and being. Over the past 15 years I have been drawn toward therapeutically supporting individuals through their individual crisis. In 2012 realised counselling was my calling and here I am, three years into my Training and I am feeling humbled and privileged to be working therapeutically with individuals experiencing distress.
I am a registered member of the BACP, working with young people and adults on a one to one basis. Looking at your past and how that is currently affecting you. Looking at past and present relationships. Exploring what behaviour and beliefs you have about yourself and decide what is worth keeping and what you need to throw away. I aim to help you work towards a way of life that gives you peace and satisfaction for the present and future.
I work with relationship issues, anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, self harming, self confidence and self esteem issues, new mums, teenagers in conflict.
