I believe it can often be hard to express how we feel and find space to talk in our busy world today. We all need some time to process and make real human connections. I offer a safe, empathetic space where you will be valued as an individual. I will work with you to help you understand yourself and reach the goals you have set.
As a former secondary school teacher, I have worked with children for a number of years and am currently working as a counsellor in a secondary school. I am a new runner and I value the link between positive mental health and exercise.
I can work on a one to one basis with children, young people and adults looking at a range of issues including anxiety, stress, self-confidence, relationships and other life problems. I will view you as an individual and place great importance on the counselling relationship as the basis for change.
As a student member of the BACP, I consider myself a professional with strong ethical values around how I work and relate to others. I’m an integrative counsellor so I work with different theoretical ideas although Person-Centred is central to my working model. This means my approach is warm, empathic and present. I believe that you are able to reach your goals with support, whatever they may be.
