About me

My passion for counselling began when I was in my mid-teens, however, I decided to take a different avenue in healing therapy and in 2003 I became a Certified Clinical Massage and Neuromuscular Therapist.  In 2011, I embarked on my journey to becoming a qualified counsellor and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my professional career.

I work as an Integrative Counsellor, incorporating psychodynamic and person-centered approaches, meaning I can adapt my skills to suit your needs.  I am also an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and strongly abide by their ethical framework.
I understand that circumstances in our lives can often leave us feeling very overwhelmed.  You may be looking to change old patterns of behaviour or be facing difficulty with current issues.  In a warm, friendly, supportive and safe environment together we can explore your past and present experiences, thoughts and feelings to help you to gain an awareness into your life and empower you to move towards feeling your best.  I believe each person has the ability to grow and change and it would be my pleasure to facilitate your journey in finding solutions to do so.

I am easy to talk with, a great listener and honour all cultural backgrounds.  I work with young adults and adults facing anxiety, stress, emotional distress, depression, self-confidence, relationship and cultural issues.  I also have an awareness of helping people to cope with loved ones with severe and complex health issues such as dementia.
