I am an integrative counsellor using a psychodynamic and person-centred model of counselling.
Psychodynamic counselling enables you to recognise how the past affects the present and to unravel unconscious thoughts; whilst person-centred counselling helps you see how you perceive yourself from your own point of view on a more conscious level.
I adhere to the BCAP Ethical Framework to ensure good practice for you to have autonomy, to feel safe and not to be judged. I have an empathic approach to developing a therapeutic relationship so that you can feel listened to and respected for who you are, your feelings and experiences. I work in a way that enables you to feel comfortable to talk with me about what's going on in your life and to explore and understand any concerns that you may have, in confidence.
I aim to ensure you feel as if I am right there with them to help make sense of any of life’s difficulties so that you can feel empowered to work towards personal growth and self-awareness.
