About me

I am a Person Centered counsellor and I believe that the core conditions, allowing you to be the expert in your life and being non-directive are key aspects of counselling that fit well with my personality.

I strongly believe that relationship is at the core of counselling work and my experience in the care and charity sectors where I have worked with the most vulnerable people in our communities has enabled me to gain valuable experience in building meaningful relationships and I believe I have the ability to relate to people from all walks of life.

My life experiences have been varied but include working children, young people and their parents in a number of settings including primary/secondary schools and adolescent care homes. I have also had experience working with drug abuse, trauma and abusive relationships with adults and children. Growing up in a socially deprived area of South London has given me insight into how these issues can affect people in their daily lives. I understand that being able to help you change your thought process/patterns through discussions and different techniques can help you have a more positive outlook on life.
