I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, my specialism is psychosexual therapy, which includes couples relationship therapy and sex therapy. I work with individuals and couples offering short or longer term therapy. I have been working with clients for over ten years.
My main skills and experience are in working with issues of abuse, sexual violence, anger, anxiety, loss and grief, bereavement, childhood related issues, depression, general counselling, health related issues including sexual health, identity problems, personal development, post traumatic stress, self-esteem, relationships, self-harm, sex related issues, sexual identity, sexuality, spirituality, stress, trauma, work related issues, men’s issues and women’s issues.
I am a registered accredited member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), adhering to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). I work in private practice and in primary care and with a charity offering short and long-term face to face work. I am a Bupa recognised therapist.
My specialism is psychosexual therapy. I work with couples and with issues they are experiencing in their relationship which may relate to communication issues, managing conflict, childhood experiences, low self-esteem, sex and intimacy.
As a sex therapist I work with any issue relating to sex which includes but not limited to; impacts of childhood sexual abuse, impact of sexual violence, shame, sexual addiction/compulsivity, social, cultural and religious beliefs about sexuality, gender, sexual identity, organic health issues, difficulties with sexual desire, difficulties with sexual arousal, erection difficulties and sexual health.
