I offer a safe and warm space to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I work with clients in a confidential, non-judgmental and empathetic setting. The emphasis is on the importance of a safe relationship to enable you to explore your personal issues and traumas.
I have worked with clients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety, as well as adults who have been victims of crime. I also have experience working with adults that have been diagnosed with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, anxiety, personality disorder and dual diagnosis. I maintain respect, empathy and genuineness within my work which has been an important and rewarding learning experience.
I adopt an integrative approach to working with clients while keeping the person-centred approach at the core. With this style of working it helps to value the individuality of my clients, and focus on nurturing the your own self-reflection and awareness. In addition to valuing your unique experiences and guiding you to reach personal growth.
I am currently working towards completing a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPSych) and currently working as a trainee with Novo to support that goal.
