My approach focuses on developing a trusting and collaborative relationship which creates a safe space to explore your strengths and difficulties. It is individualised for each client; and as no two clients are the same, no two sessions will be the same!
I believe that therapy is a collaboration. You are the expert in your story, and I can help you explore and understand the things that are of value and meaning to you. I offer a non-judgemental space in which you can express yourself and work towards your individual goals.
As a counselling psychologist in training, I use evidence-based approaches which are flexible and responsive to your needs. I will draw on my training for appropriate interventions based on the difficulties we discuss. What matters most is that the time we spend together is useful for you and supports you to go forward and achieve your goals.
I have experience working with children, young people, adults and people with learning difficulties. I have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds including refugees. I am able to be adapt my approach to making sure it is appropriate for you. It is important that whoever my client is, they feel respected!
