It is my sincere and passionate belief that we each have the strength and capacity within us to work through and beyond what is causing us distress, unhappiness and confusion in our lives. As your therapist, I will provide you with a warm, safe, trusting and confidential space in which you will be truly listened to, understood and valued for who you are. Through this experience, you will become more understanding, accepting and appreciative of yourself, and feel empowered to take control and meet life’s challenges head-on.
I will work with you in an integrative way, which means that I will incorporate a variety of theoretical perspectives and approaches into our sessions, according to what best suits your individual needs and preferences. What remains constant in my work with each and every client is that I will always show you the utmost respect and absolute commitment to the therapeutic work we will embark upon together.
As well as working as a trainee counsellor and psychotherapist, I have for the past two and a half years held the role of support worker, within a specialist NHS mental health service. Through this work I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in supporting those who are trying to making sense of, cope with and recover from a wide variety of complex difficulties, including:
Psychotic symptoms, suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, alcohol addiction, substance addiction, insomnia, PTSD, schizoaffective disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, OCD, ADHD, personality disorder and learning difficulties.
