About me

I have worked in the private, voluntary and public sector for over 25 years, with the last 12 years being focused on developing services for Children, Young People, Parents and Families.

I understand the challenges of having a career but also juggling a range of other pressures and how at times this can feel overwhelming. I am passionate about supporting people who can feel low, experience confidence and self esteem issues at work or at school, stress or anxiety, especially when things become too much and it prevents them from enjoying their life.

I am currently training as an Integrative Counsellor. This means I am qualified in more than one approach, including person-centred and psychodynamic, so can adapt my Counselling style depending on your needs.

I also bring a vast amount of life experiences, which includes dealing with bereavement and loss, working through complex work changes or making career choices. I also support parents who need support when they are having emotional difficulties or mentoring children and young people, as they go through their early stages of development or their teenage years when they’re grappling with life choices.

Through this work, I have had the opportunity to help people from a broad range of backgrounds, circumstances and needs and this has enabled me to gain experience of supporting people through a range of difficult situations.

In my therapy I will give you a safe, confidential and reflective space to be yourself as we work through the problems you are facing.
